Calista sits about thirty-three kilometres south of the Perth CBD in the City of Kwinana, part of the townsite built from the 1950s to house workers for the new refinery and industrial strip, and named after one of the first ships to reach the Swan River Colony. It holds the Kwinana Adventure Park.
